Estos documentos demuestran que el CCRGV cumple su misi\u00f3n religiosa y humanitaria dentro de la letra y el esp\u00edritu de todas las leyes. Una deposici\u00f3n habr\u00eda sido una p\u00e9rdida de tiempo, distrayendo al CCRGV de su trabajo al servicio de todos los residentes del Valle del R\u00edo Grande.  <\/p>\n\n<p>\u00abEsperamos poder dejar esto atr\u00e1s y centrar nuestros esfuerzos en proteger y defender la santidad y la dignidad de todas las vidas humanas respetando la ley\u00bb, declar\u00f3 la directora ejecutiva del CCRGV, la hermana Norma Pimentel. El CCRGV se esforzar\u00e1 siempre por cumplir con sus obligaciones legales mientras sigue persiguiendo firmemente su misi\u00f3n, inspirada por las Sagradas Escrituras y la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica: \u00abPorque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; era forastero, y me acogisteis\u00bb. Mateo 25:35  <\/p>\n\n<p>Antecedentes del caso: El 5 de junio, la Fiscal\u00eda General de Texas solicit\u00f3 a un tribunal que ordenara una declaraci\u00f3n. El 3 de julio, los abogados que representaban al CCRGV presentaron una respuesta oponi\u00e9ndose a la petici\u00f3n por carecer de fundamento y estar fuera de los requisitos de los estatutos legales vigentes. El 17 de julio se celebr\u00f3 una audiencia sobre la petici\u00f3n.
